Jig for drilling holes through the center of the plastic spheres which are on the mallets that strike the xylophone bars. The holes keep the balls centered and one side is open so that the ball will be trapped when the vise is closed. The ugly duct tape is my addition and keeps the balls from falling out when you turn it over to put it in the mill. Eric Singer with the first unit of 13 hammers. Each xylophone will have 43 hammers and there are 3 xylophones. That's a lot of parts to fabricate!
