A miscellany of parts from multiple Home Depots. I had to hit 23rd St, 59 St, and the Queens Home Depots to (almost) get everything I need. It's hard to find solenoid valves since nobody in Manhattan has a lawn! The valve controller is designed to convert existing outdoor hose systems to an automatic timer. I'm using audio cables to extend the connectors -- one of my el-cheapo cables actually has the left and right channels reversed, so that's why red goes to black through the connector. 1/6 horsepower sump pump with 5/8" garden hose fitting. This is the height of safety. There's a Ground Fault Interrupter on the circuit, but the pump definitely needs a longer cord. Not a lot of room for testing! Suspended aluminum bar. Hose in action. Tone is louder/better when the spray hits perpendicular to the bar. Baling wire comes to the aid for the suspension mechanism. Proper frame coming soon!
